More efficiency in the treatment of field crops

Practical accessories for the AS 1200 rechargeable spray blower from Birchmeier

The AS 1200 rechargeable spray blower has proven extremely popular on the market and earned Birchmeier Sprühtechnik AG several awards on account of its innovative design. The manufacturer has recently introduced a flat spray attachment for the spray fan to enable users to apply the product even more efficiently over large areas.
The flat spray attachment enables more efficiency in the treatment of field crops

Birchmeier has developed a practical, flat spray nozzle attachment for the AS 1200 rechargeable spray blower. With the new accessory, users can now spray vertically or horizontally – depending on the height or width of the crop. The integrated flat spray nozzle produces a flat spray pattern that can be used to treat specific areas. Applications show that the this further improves the wetting of the upper and lower leaf surfaces, and the attachment helps to cultivate crops with even greater efficiency, especially in ornamental plant cultivation and winegrowing.

In addition to the flat spray nozzle and the corresponding lamella attachment, the set also includes a quick-release coupling to easily replace the nozzle.

Birchmeier also offers a retrofittable quick-change nozzle system for existing appliances. This makes it easy for users to change the nozzles in the blower to use it for crops.

Controlled airflow increases target area accuracy

The AS 1200 rechargeable spray blower optimises the application of pesticides and plant strengtheners, whether users are aiming to spray a specific area with pin-point accuracy or cover dense foliage, hedges or flat areas. The choice of different nozzle types and spray pressures enables users to make the right adjustments to suit the crops in question. Using a low blower level results in a light airflow capable of moving leaves in close range, meaning that the droplets will land perfectly on the foliage and gently moisten both the upper and lower sides of each leaf. The blower power can be increased to hurricane level, the spray pressure can be adjusted and the nozzle type can potentially be changed for higher applications (up to 13 metres).

This process enables users to penetrate their plants better and thus increase effectiveness. The process also saves spray solution because the liquid that the plant needs is distributed better and less of it is lost when spraying. It prevents almost all unwanted spray drift. In addition, the user is much less exposed to the spray mist.
