At spoga + gafa, Birchmeier will exhibit as the 12th partner in the Cordless Alliance System (CAS). The cross-manufacturer battery system was launched in the summer of 2018 by the Nürtingen-based electric tool manufacturer Metabo. At the time, nine electric tool and machine manufacturers from various sectors were members of the partnership. CAS brings together a wide range of disciplines under one umbrella on the basis of Metabo’s high-performance LiHD battery technology. All machines produced by the CAS partners are 100 percent compatible. Because they use one battery, they can be combined as required. This means it is possible to use 140 devices from twelve manufacturers with just one battery. In times where various sectors increasingly overlap, it is more effective and cheaper to use a large number of garden and electric tools flexibly and in parallel.

Birchmeier will now convert the devices in its “«Accu-Power» line to use the CAS system by the end of the year. This means that the REA 15, REB 15, REC 15 and REX 15 backpack sprayers as well as the A 50 wheelbarrow sprayer, the BM 1035 pump station and the A 75 and A 130 cart sprayers will feature a CAS battery from Metabo. As a result, Birchmeier will continue to offer various performance classes, but with one standardized battery platform.
The REC 15, for example, will be 30% more powerful as a result of CAS. In the past, a single charge was enough to apply 170 litres of spray solution at 3 bar in 5.5 hours. With the new system, 220 litres can be applied in 7.5 hours.
Clever technology for professionals
The emissions-free, quiet professional devices in the «Accu-Power» line are an alternative to conventional petrol and motorized sprayers for high-pressure applications too. Instead of noise and exhaust gases, users enjoy sophisticated technology, highly convenient operation and practical features. The REC 15, for example, now features the Birchmeier LB lockable brass trigger valve.
As before, the electronic regulating system acts as a control centre for all «Accu-Power» devices. Using a pressure controller which allows continuous adjustment, the user sets the exact operating pressure and the device’s electronic system keeps the pressure constant during spraying. It also monitors important pump and battery functions. A constant pressure results in constant spray characteristics. The sophisticated technology optimizes effectiveness and is economical at the same time.
Although they have the same control concept, the devices have different performances designed to cater for the needs of users in individual specialist fields.

About CAS
The Cordless Alliance System (CAS) is a cross-manufacturer rechargeable battery system which was launched by the Nürtingen-based electric tool manufacturer Metabo. At the moment, Metabo, Rothenberger, Mafell, Eisenblätter, Collomix, Haaga, Electrostar (Starmix), Eibenstock, Steinel, Rokamat, Elried/Edding and Birchmeier are part of CAS. Thanks to this rechargeable battery system which is unique within the sector, all machines produced by the CAS partners are 100 percent compatible and can be combined as required using one rechargeable battery. CAS brings together a wide range of disciplines under one umbrella on the basis of Metabo’s high-performance LiHD rechargeable battery technology. It gives professional users the freedom to work flexibly with standard and special products from various manufacturers without having to stay close to a power socket.
